	An introduction to Majoto, the role we play in relation to your data, and our approach to protecting your data.


Who we are			What we do

We are Majoto Lab Limited, a UK company. Our address is 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX.			We are a contract design and automation company. We help people design better contracts and deploy them in automated workflows using the Majoto SaaS platform.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation, Majoto Lab Limited is a controller (we determine the purposes and means of processing your personal information).			We will collect and use certain data when you use Majoto or join our beta community, to deliver the Majoto experience to you.

We are registered as a controller at the UK Information Commissioner's Office under number ZA926683. For any queries or requests relating to your data, contact us at hello@majoto.io			This notice explain what we collect, how we use it and how we protect it. We will update it from time to time and will let you know about any important changes.

	When you use Majoto, you have the benefit of Google’s industry-leading privacy and security features. All data we collect and process on your behalf resides on Google Drive (ours or yours depending on how you use Majoto). This means your data and content is not accessible by others unless you actively share it with them. This makes using Majoto and collaborating with others easy and safe.

Part 2 How we collect & process




		This section describes what data we collect, when and how. We've set this out by way of a typical user journey (though it doesn't necessarily happen in that sequence).

	First contact			When you contact us for a trial or demo, we will collect and store the contact details you give us.		We will keep a record of you as a (potential) customer and use it to respond to your request, and to stay in touch. We will update you on news and Majoto offers if you consent to it.

				When you first use Majoto or join our community, we will generate a user ID and login, and collect payment details for any paid plans.		To give you the templates and functions you signed up for, to authenticate access to member-only or paywalled parts of our community, and to process payments. Your user IDs and password may be generated by third party integrations, which we use for authentication.

				We will collect login details for any new admin and user accounts, and log user activity on the platform.		We will use the account details of your administrator(s) and users, for controlling access to your data and content. We will log user activities as required to deliver Majoto functionality, provide support and security and improve how Majoto works.

				Data about the documents you create, and their contents, including personal information that you insert in them.		If you use Majoto by installing it with your Google account, all your files will be stored on your Google Drive - we will not have access to any of it. If you use Majoto without your own Google account we will store your files for you on our instance of Google, segregated from other users, and with strict access controls.

				Collaborator email addresses and their comments and activity on your contracts.		When you share drafts of your contract with anyone (we call them collaborators), we will process the contact details you enter to give them access and to notify them. Their activity will be logged so we can display their actions and comments in your documents.

				Signer names, email address and other signature details.		If you use Majoto’s HelloSign account, the signature record and copy of your agreement will be stored by HelloSign and will be available to Majoto via our API account. We will never access the document unless you ask us to.

				Any contact details, documents and messages you share with our staff.		If we're helping you design a template, or you contact us for technical support, our staff may have access to your contact details as well as documents you share with us. We will use these only to deliver the service or support.

			Our legal grounds for processing your personal data are based on your requests to provide you with trial or full access to Majoto, and associated services (consent or legitimate interests). Once you sign an agreement with us or buy a plan, it is also based on contract: to fulfil our promises to you to deliver our technology and service.

Part 3 Rights, responsibilities




		This section describes our responsibilities and your rights, in relation to your personal data.

	Collect as little as we can			Not provide us with data
	We will collect the minimum information we required to respond to your requests and deliver our services and platform.			You can browse our website without providing data, but you will not be able to access Majoto or our community without providing your data.

	No cookies			Block cookies
	We have switched off analytics and cookies on our website. This means we don’t use cookies or track IP addresses of visitors. That’s why we don’t have annoying cookie banners. We will let you know if that changes.			You can always block cookies or delete them using the settings section on your browser. 	Control access			Protecting your login details
	Access to Majoto and all the cloud products and services we use is secured with role-based access rights, so nobody outside of Majoto is given access to your personal information.			Please keep your login details safe and do not share them with others.

	Market with your consent			You can always opt out
	We will only send you marketing emails and updates if you have asked us, e.g. by signing up to a newsletter. We will never sell or disclose your data to anyone else for marketing.			You can opt out of any marketing at any time by emailing us at hello@majoto.io

	Secure your data			Access to your data
	We will do our best to keep your data safe and secure. Sometimes we rely on third party apps, which are described in Part 4. (where you can also access information about their security practices).			You can contact us any time to view what information of yours we have and receive a copy; ask us to correct it, and delete it. We will action it within 30 days and we won’t charge you. To protect your privacy and the privacy of others, we may ask for evidence of your identity.

	Not keep your data forever			Right to be forgotten
	If you cease to use Majoto (or indicate that you don't want to start using it), we will archive and stop using your data after 12 months. We will keep it in case any follow ups are required or you need help exporting your content. We will keep your data in archive for legal and insurance purposes for 6 years and delete it permanently after that.			You can ask us to erase all personal data we hold about you, if it's no longer required for using and accessing Majoto or our services. If you are a Google user and have installed Majoto on your Drive, you can also turn off Majoto’s access to your Google apps at any time by going to to the Security section of your Google Account or directly to Security Checkup.

	Give you access to your stuff			Right to port
	We will provide you with downloads of your documents and dashboads on request, in case we're having technical problems that prevent you from doing so yourself.			You have the right to request a copy of all your data, which we will provide in an accessible form, so you can deliver it to another service.

		As with most technology businesses, we use third parties to host our application and manage certain processes and business operations. This means sharing your data. We do it only when strictly necessary and make sure there are safeguards in place. If it requires transferring data outside of the UK or Europe, we make sure that it's done under available lawful mechanisms.
