World first: the singularity contract template

The problem

Businesses spend large amounts of money with lawyers, to produce long-winded contracts that nobody understands. The contracts are never actually used except if there’s a dispute - at which point businesses have to spend more money with lawyers trying to interpret them.

Attempts have been made to solve the problem with standardisation. However this is hugely time consuming and is a largely artisanal template-by-template effort.

The solution

By analysing thousands of contracts (10+million words), hundreds of commercial court cases and dozens of books on contracting, the team at Majoto Labs has been able to distill contract use cases to a single one-line template that any business user can apply for almost any conceivable contracting situation - whether they’re using lawyers or not.
